Notes: the per page yield per cartridge is provided by the printer manufacturer, and is generally based on approximately 5 percent coverage per color for an 8.5 x 11 inch (letter size) page. The Cost per Page is roughly calculated based on these yield values and the retail cost of the printer consumables. The Cost per Black Page includes a small amount of color ink usage, assuming that a small amount of color ink is used with the normal operation of the printer during on and off cycles, for periodic cleaning, etc. The Total Cost per 10,000 and 100,000 copies assumes that 60 percent of the copies are black and 40 percent are color.
